Dedicated Planetarium Seating for Wheelchairs and Companions

Our planetarium has dedicated seating for those who use wheelchairs or other accessibility aids to ensure that everyone enjoys their experience exploring the cosmos with us! Our dedicated seating as well as companion seating creates an inclusive environment to foster a sense of wonder without any barriers or limitations.

Ramps and handrails have been incorporated into Flandrau's architecture for individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility aids. These entryways ensure an easy entrance and exit for all visitors.

Wide Walkways and Pathways

Our spacious walkways and entryways are designed to ensure easy, independent navigation and exploration for individuals with mobility challenges. These entryways and pathways are integral to a welcoming environment for all visitors, regardless of physical abilities. The smooth, level, and spacious pathways allow comfortable movement between the exhibits.



Flandrau's elevator is a crucial component for universal access to our exhibits. The elevator adheres to accessibility standards, including a spacious interior and entryway to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

Accessible Bathrooms


Flandrau's bathrooms are essential in order to cater to the needs of all of our visitors. Each of the upstairs restrooms includes an accessible stall, as well as more spacious all-gender bathrooms downstairs. These bathrooms are designed to prioritize inclusivity, individuality, and comfort for all visitors. 

Hearing Aid system

Audio Aid System

Planetarium show attendees with hearing aids or in need of an auditory aid are able to connect their aids to the show's audio or ask for a headset at the front desk. These aids ensure everyone has an equally immersive experience during our planetarium shows.
